| We at WoodSpirit love stone in all its many forms, colors, and types. While we use whatever type of stone is required for the project at hand, we particularly seek to acquire and install Decorative Boulders in our gardens and landscapes. A boulder which has been at least partially above the ground of decades, or even better, centuries, has time etched into its surface giving it tremendous character. We feel that the installation of just one stone of reasonable size that is covered with moss, lichen, and fissures can give the feeling of timelessness to even a newly installed garden. It is almost as if a Decorative Boulder or as we sometimes refer to them, 'Signature Stones' is time solidified. |
| We go to great lengths to purchase these boulders from farmers and other landowners. We carefully load, transport, and install them to avoid damaging their ageless beauty as much as possible. This often involves hiring logging trucks, special loader tractors, farmer’s equipment, and even moving them by hand. At the same time we endeavor to minimize damage to the homeowners landscape to the greatest extent possible.
